Harlem Academy has been honored with Charity Navigator’s highest ranking for organizational excellence, earning a coveted 4-star rating for its strong financial health and commitment to accountability and transparency.
Charity Navigator, America's largest independent charity evaluator, helps donors make informed giving decisions. Each year they evaluate hundreds of top schools and organizations, including independent schools and charter institutions.
“Harlem Academy’s exceptional rating sets it apart from its peers and demonstrates its trustworthiness to the public,” said Michael Thatcher, President & CEO of Charity Navigator. “Only a quarter of charities receive the distinction of our 4-star rating. Harlem Academy supporters can trust that their donations are going to a financially responsible and ethical organization.”
“At Harlem Academy, we pursue our mission not only with the highest programmatic standards, but also with efficiency and transparency,” says Head of School Vinny Dotoli. “It is vital that our donors trust that we use their donations wisely to provide a transformational opportunity to high-potential students from underserved communities.”
Harlem Academy is a private school for promising, low-income children in grades one through eight. With a focus on rigorous intellectual engagement, character development, and family partnership, we guide our students to thrive at the highest academic levels and one day make a mark on the world.
