As an avid photographer, Marianna “Mari” Lee ’20, a senior at Miss Porter’s, was thrilled when she received a Hill Arts Foundation fellowship last summer.
Over the past 20 years, Harlem Academy has provided opportunity for promising students in kindergarten through eighth grade, unlocking talent toward a more hopeful future. And yet, our critical work has only just begun.
With the addition of a new section of sixth grade this year, our middle school has expanded to serve even more promising students. It’s been wonderful to see new and returning students meld as a group as they share experiences and build bonds both inside and outside of school.
