Harlem Academy students strive for excellence. One of my greatest joys is seeing how that work ethic continues to manifest in inspiring ways long after they leave our halls.
When Kennedy Murray ’16, a senior at George Washington University who is studying political science, told us about her recent congressional internship with Rep. Jamaal Bowman, she could barely contain her excitement. Kennedy is confident that she can achieve her political ambitions thanks to the skills and values she first gained while a student here: “Harlem Academy taught me self-discipline, determination, preparation, and the importance of community and compassion.”
As our alumni make their way in the world, they continue to set the bar high – not just for themselves but for every other Harlem Academy student who follows in their footsteps. We need your support to ensure that more future leaders have the same opportunity to reach their fullest potential. Please make a gift to our $1.3 million Spring Campaign, which launches today and runs through June 30, and help to transform another student’s educational experience.
