Yesterday, we officially broke ground at 655 St. Nicholas Avenue, the site of Harlem Academy’s permanent home.   The five-story, 29,000-square-foot building will expand the school's impact to more students and strengthen our program. The Answer: 655 St. Nicholas Avenue!  I am thrilled to announce that Future Leaders: The Capital Campaign for Harlem Academy has crossed the 90% threshold, having raised $28.4 million toward the $31 million budget. Last night, our Board of Trustees authorized a critical step toward the construction of our permanent campus – the selection of the project’s construction manager.   Our new, permanent home will allow us to double in size, expanding our impact from 120 to 240 students. Dear Friends:  I am pleased to announce the launch of Future Leaders: The Capital Campaign for Harlem Academy, a $30 million campaign to fund construction of a permanent campus in Central Harlem. In 2004, this school was just the seed of an idea.
