Grade Four
Grade-four students continue their journey as inspired, skillful writers. Students practice each day using their writing notebooks as a creative outlet and to reflect about their growth as writers. Students publish personal narratives, expository essays, short stories, and poetry. They create scripts for a play and even publish a magazine by the end of the year. As grade-four students study writing genres they love, collaborate with each other, and demonstrate commitment to words and expression, they become ever more skilled at sharing information, stories, and themselves.
