Grade Three

Grade-three students practice number knowledge using mental math exercises. Students calculate problems using all four operations up to the ten-thousands and to calculate the area and volume of two- and three-dimensional shapes. In addition to completing daily review exercises, children play games designed to develop skills in arithmetic and problem solving, use a variety of manipulatives to facilitate holistic understanding of concepts, and develop model drawings to solve and explain word problems.
