Friends of Harlem Academy

The Friends of Harlem Academy manages volunteer recruitment and participation in conjunction with school administrators. The group also helps identify school needs, plans major fundraising events in conjunction with the Development Committee, helps with school projects, and assists with community outreach. 

The Committee on Trustees oversees all aspects of board recruitment, development, and evaluation.  The members of this committee are Mark Tashjian (Chair), Mary Ganzenmuller, and Hans Hageman, as well as the Board Chair and the Head of School.

The Finance Committee oversees fiscal policy and budget development; monitors income, expenses, and use of financial controls, and interprets financial information for the Board.  This committee is chaired by Tony Asnes and includes the Board Chair, the Head of School, and the Business Manager.
