![]() Harlem Academy third, fourth, fifth, and sixth graders created this quilt-like banner for the students École du Bel-Air school in Haiti. École du Bel-Air is a project of Edeyo, an independent non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of children in Haiti. In mid-March, at the French Consulate 's 'Build a School and Build a Life' Charity Gala the banner will be presented by Harlem Academy Board of Trustees Chairman Mark Johnston to Edeyo Executive Director Doris Pradieu, who will take it to École du Bel-Air when she next travels to Haiti. École du Bel-Air's building was destroyed in the January earthquake and the banner will hang in their satellite location until they finish rebuilding. The third grade class also just completed a change drive for École du Bel-Air and was able to send a check for more than $200 to the school. |
