Tuition:  Harlem Academy operates on a sliding pay scale, and no student is ever turned away for financial reasons.  Current tuition ranges from $400 to $16,000 per student per year.

Brief history:  Harlem Academy was founded in 2004 with support from St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Harlem.  Head of School Vincent Dotoli wrote a master's project with founding trustee Mark Tashjian during their 2001 - 2002 year at Teachers College, Columbia University, enumerating key components of what would become Harlem Academy.  During its first year, Harlem Academy was housed at the Children's Arts Carnival and served 12 first graders.  Harlem Academy moved to its current location in the summer of 2005 and has continued to add one grade each year.
