Fundraising
People appreciate the opportunity to sponsor their friends and family for a worthy cause. We can assist as you seek support from sponsors by providing materials, information, and office support. If you need assistance or have questions, please contact Dan Castelli at 212.348.2600.
Because Harlem Academy is an independent school rather than a public or charter school and offers need-blind admissions, all funds must come from charitable foundations, corporations, and individuals, with tuition payments from students’ families making up 15% of operating costs. Every donation makes a difference, and our streamlined administration ensures donations make a difference in the classroom. Please share the Harlem Academy story with your sponsors. Don't forget to ask your donors if his/her company has a matching gift program and, if so, please forward us sufficient information so we can follow up.
Ways for riders and sponsors to donate:
- Online by credit card. Please select 'Climb 2011' as the campaign and include the rider's name in the comments section.
- Check made payable to Harlem Academy mailed to 1330 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10026. Please note the name of the rider in the memo.
- By phone - call Dan Castelli at 212.348.2600.
Interested riders may create individual fundraising pages to tell his or her personal Climb story and track how much he or she raised. To set up an individual fundraising page, contact Britta Blodgett at bblodgett@harlemacademy.org.
