Committee Structure

Committee on Trustees
The committee on trustees analyzes the current composition of the board and works with the chairman to establish clear membership criteria and priorities.  Based on those priorities, the committee coordinates board recruitment, vetting, nomination, and mentoring of new trustees.  The committee also works with the board chairman to review the board handbook, by-laws, and annual board surveys for recommendations that help the school move forward. Current committee members include:

Communications Committee
The communications committee works in close partnership with the development director, the communications director, and the head of school to create and implement marketing and fundraising strategy to maximize near- and long-term support for the school.  Current members include:

Education Committee
The education committee is charged with developing policy recommendations for the board and advising the head of school on program-related issues on the broadest level.  This committee also participates in evaluation and accreditation procedures and promotes understanding of major educational issues addressed by and facing the school. Current members include:

Finance and Audit Committee
The finance and audit committee oversees fiscal policy, budget development, audit, and investments. It monitors income, expenses, and use of financial controls, and it interprets financial information for the board.  Current members include:

Strategic Planning and Facilities Committee
The strategic planning and facilities committee guides board work and decisions related to the short and long-term needs of the organization.  Current members include:
